Brunswick Recovery Associates was founded by Nick Gully, a leading UK based Addiction Therapist, who has worked in the field for over 19 years.

Nick has held senior positions in some of the leading UK addiction treatment centres, including as Director of Addiction Services at the Priory Hospital in London, Clinical Manager at Lifeworks in Surrey and the Manager of the Brighton Housing Trust Recovery Project. He has trained with some of the leading therapists in the USA, such as Pia Mellody, John Bradshaw, Terence Gorski, Patrick Carnes, Brenda Schaefer and Claudia Black and is a visiting lecturer at Brighton University, specialising in addiction and cognitive behavioural therapy.

Nick has been in personal recovery from addiction for many years and has created a team of trained and committed professional Recovery Associates who are able to support, guide and inspire other people in their own journey of recovery from addiction.

Our Recovery Associates are men and women who have overcome their own addiction and have achieved at least three years of continuous abstinence. They are hand-picked for their personal qualities, insight and ability to provide constructive support and guidance to others. 

We carry out extensive background checks on all staff, including criminal records checks, professional and character references, medical screening (if required) and verification of their abstinence and qualifications.

All of our staff are offered comprehensive training at our centre in Brighton and receive ongoing group and individual support as part of their individual training and development plan.
